Why Now?
Due to the unprecedented unemployment rates given COVID-19, as a Venture Studio, experts in concepting and business creation, we have an opportunity to help millions of people get back to work or leverage this time to explore starting their own business.
When adversity and difficult times come about, ‘necessity is the mother of innovation’ and life constraints, lack of employment options, and even desperation can be the best time to build a company… but only for those that are willing to put in the work and commit to the process and end goal!
We are fortunate, we are employed, doing something that we love and have gained skills most can only dream of. We can help in our own way. We owe it to ourselves and our community to lean in and help people find their purpose and a way to control their own destiny.
The Problem
~40.8 million people have filed for unemployment as of May 21, 2020.
This number will increase and is likely bigger given those that can’t apply because of self-employment restrictions.
‘Stay at home’ orders make it more difficult to get the insights one needs to build confidence through access to expertise, education, and mentorship.
The Solution
Take advantage of the time these individuals have to find their next thing.
Provide free online, lecture-style training to the newly-unemployed on how to create their own company.
Provide access to tools and know-how in order to reduce the inherent risk of starting a company.
